Meditation

This is an image, comparing two brain scans; The first shows the brain activity on any normal day, whereas the second shows the brain of someone who is meditating.

There's clearly increased activity within the frontal lobe (orange sections on the top of the 'Prayer Scan' . This area of the brain (positioned at the front half of your head) is important for controlling movement and co-ordination as well as emotions.

It has been found that people who have less activity in the frontal lobe may be worse at performing tasks, be less co-ordinated and be more likely to suffer from mental illness.

To increase co-ordination, alertness and increase happiness why not try a bit of casual meditation or prayer. Its too simple. Just sit still. So whichever religion or belief system you subscribe to, you may want to give this a go because you simply can't argue with science.
