From the new Alexander Wang collection 2011. I love the concept of the dress, gray cotton T with luxe draped skirt. Only wish the skirt was a tad more olive green than taupe. Best of all. its a dress already. no assembly required.

The latest fall Chanel nail colours have been a huge hit and I have to say I'm loving them too. The tones are both sophisticated and edgy, and complement any palette.

This is a series of photos I took whilst in France. I got to see a lot of the countryside, seaside, snow-filled mountainside as well as the cities.

First shot is the contents of my handbag (H&M).
The second last shot was taken on the Champs-Ellesyee on New Years Eve. I always think its captured the liveliness and dreaminess so well.
The last photo was taken on the same night of a Dior window. The Dior Sadle Bag was my envy. I had just watched the movie Hor De Prix with Audrey Tatou. Its better known by the name 'Priceless'. If you've seen it, you'll know what I'm talking about. The clothing was exceptional.

By some strange default, placing photographs of beautiful people and objects gives me a sense of calmness rather than jealousy, or hatred, or loathing, or anxiety. Without one, the wall in my room is naked and fleshy in the unforgiving morning light *. I've always found it so interesting seeing other peoples inspiration walls. This part of a persons room is so personal and may even tell you a bit about their style, interests and perhaps ** insecurities?

*(but not in the 'Im-a-Lucian-Freud-artwork-which-means-Im-brilliance' type of way).
** Or perhaps not.

There is no 'Insert Radical Artistic Notion Here'. Just colour clusters and blank bits on the canvas. All three are interesting and, dare i say... fresh? If you aren't so much into art, maybe just this time you can admit that you're kinda feeling these works. If not. Take off your top. Paint some caption cook (or hook) inspired tatoos everywhere, stare dreamily into the distance and then see if you feel it. If not. I commend you on your dedication. And now, at least you don't look like Rudolph with a mohawk. That would have been more awkward.

Paella for a Rainy Weekend

We made this Paella without any seafood (unfortunate, i know but we had a restriction on the number of ingredients we could add). I 'settled' for

Spanish Cuisine. Oh my. Can't wait to do Spain myself.

Each dish could only contain 5 ingredients. Firstly, half-cook the sliced chorizo (we used Hungarian chorizo this time, but use whatever you can get). Throw some chopped onions and Aborio rice into the hot pan. Brown the rice then add vegetable stock and green peas.

NOTE:

Don't stir the dish once you've added the rice (You want the rice to go crispy around the edges i.e. the BEST bit)

Don't caramelise the onions (it will be too sweet).

This recipe is so easy, if i can do this, then anyone can.

When Subtlety just wont do. Go Opulent.
